Meat Wrapper
Our meat wrappers are the final step in making sure our products look as good as they taste. This role focuses on packaging, labeling and presenting fresh cuts with precision and care. Our wrappers learn the ins and outs of product handling, organization and quality presentation while working with our butchers and front end team. If you enjoy fast paced work and attention to detail, this role offers opportunity to grow and help guide the team to maintain product standards and support daily production.
Front End Customer Service
Our front end team is the face of the shop. They greet our customers, enjoy connecting with people, and enjoy learning about high quality local food. These team members develop strong product knowledge, learn about different cuts of meat and gain valuable customer service experience in a community-based environment. You will play a key role in helping customers feel welcome and confident in what they’re taking home to their families.
Smoke Room Worker
Our smoke room is where traditional techniques meet craftsmanship. They help prepare and monitor a variety of house-made smoked products such as pepperoni, bacon, and our famous beef jerky. This role involves learning the curing processes, seasoning, preparation methods and operating smokehouse equipment to create the products our customers know and love. For those interested in food productions and traditional meat preparation, the smoke room offers a unique opportunity to learn specialized skills that are an important part of the trade.
Butcher
Butchers are the heart of our operation; they are skilled tradespeople who break down the whole animals into high-quality cuts for retail and custom orders. This role involves expert knife work, knowledge of the different cuts of meat, and the ability to prepare products with precision and consistency. Butchers also have the opportunity to work closely with customers and farmers making it both a technical and community-focused profession. Freezer Personnel
Our freezer personnel plays and important role in keeping the shop organized, stocked, and running smoothly behind the scenes. They are responsible for receiving, organizing, and managing frozen inventory, preparing orders, and ensuring products are stored safely and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina and a strong sense of organization. Team members work closely with our cutting room staff and front end team to make sure products move through the shop properly and are ready when customers or staff need them. For individuals who enjoy hands-on work, staying active throughout the day, being a part of a fast-paced environment, and multiple clothing layers, the freezer position offers a great opportunity to learn how product flow and inventory management support the entire operation of a busy butcher shop.
Abattoir Personnel
Our slaughter floor team plays a critical role in the ethical and respectful processing of livestock. This position involves working carefully and efficiently as part of a trained team to ensure animals are handled properly and processed according to strict safety and quality standards. It’s a physically active role that requires focus, teamwork, respect for the craft, and responsibility involved in meat production.
